2009 Marks the 15th anniversary of Chincoteague Waves Magazine and what a great ride it has been. Started in 1994 the magazine was purchased by Maureen and Ray Daisey in 2004 and is still going strong. From the beginning we've had two audiences in mind, our advertisers and our readers. Being a "native Chincoteague" publication, we never look at folks who pick up our publication as "tourists" but rather as our guests, and we want to make sure you have a great vacation here. Waves has always depended on suggestions to make it better. We were told "folks need to know how to cook the seafood they bought once they get home," so we added some recipes. Others said "you need to get Waves out further." We responded by getting Waves out to ever driving entry into DelMarVa, including the Cape May-Lewes Ferry, Delaware and Virginia Tourism Systems, Eastern Shore of Virginia Tourism and more. I'm always looking for new distribution venues. Needless to say, we don't just value your opinions, we treasure them!
